Christina has 1/2 litres of milk. She needs 0.34 litres more milk to bake a cake. How much milk does she need altogether?

I got this question wrong. My answer to this is 0.2 litres. The marker put the ans

as 21/25 litres. Could you give me the working for this?

Hi

Solution as follows ~

Altogether Christina needs 1/2 litres + 0.34 litres of milk to bake the cake.

1/2 + 34/100 = 1/2 + 17/50

25 + 17
---------------- = 42/50 = 21/25
50

Ans : 21/25 litres of Milk
