Test Paper

When Farah was 66 years old,the ratio of Aqil's age to Ranette's age was 3:1.
When Ranette was 5 years old,the ratio of Farah's age to Aqil's age was 3:1.
Find the ratio of Farah's age to Ranette's age when Aqil is 30 years old.

Tabulate the info as follows:

Farah : Aqil : Ranette
(66yrs): 3 : 1
3 : 1 5yrs)

Ignore the ages, then change Aqil's to the same units

Farah : Aqil : Ranette
-------- : 3 : 1
3 x 3 : 1 x 3 : --------

Resulted in
F : A : R
9 : 3 : 1

When Aqil is 30 yrs'
F : A : R
90:30:10

Ratio of F:R is 9 : 1(answer)
