Hello to All!
I need help with this math question:

Bobby places 12 cards on a table. Each card is either red or black in colour.
If the fraction of black cards is 7/12, what is the smallest number of additional
cards that Bobby needs to put on the table, so that the fraction of black cards
become 5/8 ?

Thank you

Hi
This problem involves ratio.

For fraction of black card to be 5/8,

Black : Red
5 : 3
10 : 6

Originally 7 Black 5 Red (Total 12 cards) , now 10 Black 6 Red (Total 16 cards)
Therefore Bobby needs to add 4 cards (Subtract 12 from 16)

Ans: 4 Cards

Hope this helps.
