1. Joanne and Bob were given the same amount

of allowance last month. After Joanne spent \$18

and Bob spent \$3, the amount of allowance Bob

had left was 6 times that of what Joanne had left. How

much allowance did each child receive last month?

2. Kivesh, Dave and Fred have a total savings of

\$2712. Dave's savings is twice that of Kivesh's.

Fred's savings is thrice that of Kivesh's. How much

more savings has Fred than Kivesh?

Q1)
They had same amount last month.
After spending,

1 unit + \$18 = 6units + \$3
5 units -----> \$18 - \$3 = \$15
1unit -------> \$15 / \$3 = \$5
Joanne ----> \$5 + \$18 = \$23 (answer)

Q2)
Dave ----> 2units
Kivesh --> 1 unit
Fred -----> 3 units

(2 + 1 + 3)units ------> \$2712
6 units ------->\$2712
1 units -------> \$2712 / 6 =\$452
Difference between Fred & Kivesh ---> 3 units - 1unit = 2 units
2 units -------> 2 x \$452 = \$904 (answer)

Oops! made some mistakes in Q1
Should be
1 units -----> \$15 / 5 = \$3
Joanne ----> \$3 + \$18 = \$21(answer)
