Jenny and Gina each had the same number of

erasers. Jenny gave 82 of her erasers to her friends and Gina gave 28

of her erasers to her siblings. Gina had 7 times as many erasers left

as many erasers left as Jenny. How many erasers did each of them

have at first?

6u = 82 - 28 = 54
1u = 54 / 9 = 6
J = 9 + 82 =91
To double-check:
G = (9 x 7) + 28 =91

Each of them had 91 erasers at first.
