Hihi,

Can someone help me the following questions.

1.)Sweetie Shop sold fruit candies, milk candies and mint candies. 43% of them were fruit candies and 228 were candies. There were 50% fewer milk candies than mint candies. How many percent more fruit candies than milk candies were there? Leave the answer correct to the nearest percent.

2.)At a concert 30% of the audience were children. The number of men was 10% more than the number of children. There were 222 women at the concert. How many people attended the concert.

Thank you very much.

1) I think u miss out some info in the second sentence in Qn 1. "43% of them were fruit candies and 228 were (what type?) candies."

2) 10% more men than children means
110% x 30 = 33% (men)

100%-33%-30%= 37%-------222
100%-------222/37 x 100 = 600

Ans: 600 people

Compare % for milk and mint

Milk: Mint----50%: 100%

50%---228 (milk)
100%---456 (mint)

57%---228 + 456 =684
1%----684/57=12
43%---12 x 43 =516 (fruit)

Diff btw fruit and milk----516-228=288

288/228 x 100 ~ 126%

Ans: 126% more
