Please help to solve Question 12 of Paper2 : Leon bought some terrapins and guppies for a total of \$96. He bought 3times as many guppies as terrapins. He paid \$30 more for the terrapins than for the guppies. Each terrapin cost of \$10.4 more than each guppy. a) How many terrapins did he buy? b) What was the cost of each guppy? Please draw model as well thanks

Cost of guppies---(96-30)/2=33
Cost of terrapins---33+30=63

3 units of guppies----\$33
1 unit of guppy---\$33/3=\$11
1 unit of terrapins---\$63

Diff between 1u of terrapins and 1u of guppies---\$63-\$11=\$52
Diff between 1 terrapin and 1 guppy---\$10.40
Thus, 1 u----\$52/\$10.40=5

Ansa) 5 terrapins

No. of guppies---5x3=15
Cost of 1 guppy----\$33/15=\$2.20

Ansb) \$2.20
