Can somebody help me solve these questions?
Q1:A cake shop had some tarts to sell.4\5 of them were pineapple tarts and the remaining were blueberry tarts.After 5\8 of the pineapple tarts and 2\3 of the blueberry tarts were sold,there were 979 tarts left.How many tarts were sold?

Q2:Alvin,Ben,Chris and David shared the cost of the gift.Alivin gave \$270,Chris gave 1\3 of the total amount,while David gave 2\9 of the amount.If Ben gave \$40 less than Chris,what was the total cost of the gift?
