Mark had thrice as many stamps as Nick at first. Each of them bought an equal amount of stamps. Nick then had 98 stamps and Mark had twice as many stamps as Nick. How many stamps did Mark have at first?

Thanks.

B -> stamps bought

Nick -> B + 1unit = 98
Mark -> B + 3 units = 98 x 2 = 196

2 units ---> 196 - 98 = 98
1 unit -----> 49
3 units ----> 49 x 3 = 147

Mark had 147 stamps at first.
