Ben and Tom had the same amount of money. After Ben gave \$56 to Tom. Tom has 9 times as much as Ben. How much did Tom have in the end?

In the end, Ben had 1 unit and Tom, 9 units.
the difference is 8 units, which is 2 x \$56
therefore, 1 unit is \$14

Tom had 9 units, which is 9 x \$14 = \$126. Cheerio!
