Hello.

Could someone help me solve this problem???

Judy has 240 coins with a total value of \$79.50 in her piggy bank. If she has only twenty-cent and fifty-cent coins, how many twenty-cent coins does she have?

I hope someone could help me without using guess and check

Assume all 240 coins are 20 cts.

240 x \$0.20 = \$48

\$79.50 - \$48 = \$31.50

\$0.50 - \$0.20 = \$0.30

\$31.50 / \$0.30 = 105 number of 50 cts coin

240 - 105 = 135 number of 20 cts coin
