Henry can wash a car in 2 hours. Dolly can wash the same car in 3 hours. How long will it take Henry and Dolly to wash the same car together?

Hithere,
Following pls find the worked solution:

This is what we call a 'RATE' question.

In 1 hr,
H washes: 1/2 car
D washes: 1/3 car

H + D wash: 1/2 + 1/3 = 5/6 car

6/6 car = 1 รท (5/6) = 6/5 hr = 1 1/5 hr (or 1 hr 12 mins)

===================================================

Trust the above helps.

Cheers,
Edward
