Hey there,

Following pls find the worked solution:

This is also called a Rate question.

In 1 hr,
Taps A + B can fill 1/3 container --- (1)
Taps C + B can fill 1/4 container --- (2)
Taps A + C can fill 1/6 container --- (3)

(1) + (2) + (3):

2A + 2B + 2C = 1/3 + 1/4 + 1/6 = 9/12 = 3/4
A + B + C = 3/4 ÷ 2 = 3/8

So, in 1 hr taps A, B, C will fill up 3/8 container.
To fill up whole container, it would take ...

1 ÷ (3/8) = 8/3 = 2 2/3 hr ( 2 hr 40 min )

============================================

Trust this helps.

Cheers,
Edward
