Hi
Pls could any one of you help me to solve this pri 3 maths problem?
Wendy has 600 more postcards than Steven. If Wendy gives 21 postcards to Steven, she will have 7 times as many postcards as steven. How many postcards does Steven have at first?

Wendy, W -- 1 Big unit + 600
Steven, S -- 1 Big unit

Wendy New, WN -- 1 Small unit + 600 - 21 = 1 Big unit + 579 --> 7 units
Steven New, SN -- 1 Small unit + 21 --> 1 unit

WN - SN
--------------
6 units --> 579 - 21 = 558
1 unit --> 558 / 6 = 93

S:1 Small unit --> 1 unit - 21 = 93 - 21 = 72 postcards

Steven has 72 postcards at first.

Since this is a Primary 3 maths question, I will move it from Primay 4 forum to Primary 3.

Cheers!
