Aro and Buso are aliens on planet Coco. There are a total of 100 Aros and Busos. Aro has 3 legs and Buso has 7 legs. They have a total of 460 legs. How many of each type of alien are there on planet Coco?

The answer is 'There are 40 Busos and 60 Aros'.

Thanks

Assume all are Aros, the total number of legs would be 100 x 3 = 300

There is a difference of 460 - 300 = 160 in the total number of legs.

7 - 3 = 4 (difference in legs between a Aro and a Buso)

160 / 4 = 40

There are 40 Busos.

100 - 40 - 60

There are 60 Aros.
