Hi, please help to solve following question, thanks!
1)
Mrs Tan spent 3/5 of her money on 25 cakes and 45 buns for a party.
The cost of 1 bun was 1/3 that of a cake.
How many more buns could she buy with the rest of her money?
2)
An insurance agent's monthly income was increased by 1/5 in March from February.
His income decreased by 30% in April from March.
As a result, his income in April was $1200 less than in February.
What was his income in March?
3)
Henry poured a 2.5 litre bottle of syrup into a rectangular container with a height of 30cm.
The syrup filled up 1/6 of the container.
What is the base area of the container?

Following pls find my worked solutions:

Cost:
B = (1/3)C
C = 3B
25C + 45B = (3/5) total
(25 x 3B ) + 45B = (3/5) total
75B + 45B = (3/5) total
120B = (3/5) total
Total = 120B x (5/3) = 200B
Rest of money = (2/5) total
Number of buns = (2/5) x 200 = 80 buns

70% > (6/100) x 70 = (42/10) = (21/5)

6 : (21/5)
30 : 21
Combining all 3 months ...
F : M : A
5 : 6
30 : 21
Apply <Repeated Identity> concept, multiply 1st ratio (F:M) 5x.
F : M : A
25 : 30 : 21
Given that A's income was $1200 less than F, we have ..
F  A = 1200
25u  21u > 1200
4u > 1200
1u > 300
Income in M = 30u > 30 x 300 = $9000

Ht of syrup level = (1/6) x 30 = 5 cm
Vol = Area x Ht
2500 = Area x 5
Base area of container = 2500 รท 5 = 500 cm2
