1) Calvin will make earnings percentage of 25% if he sells the diamond at $1875. What is his earnings if he sells the diamond at $2140?

2) A restaurant charges $14 per person for a buffet dinner. For every 4 people, one of them will get it free. A group of people came and paid a total of $196. How many people were there in the group?

1875 / 1.25 = 1500
2140 - 1500 = 640
Ans: 640

Q2) 4 pax = $42
8 pax = $84
12 pax = $126
16 pax = $168
20 pax = $210
For $196 will be ($196 - $168 = $28 balance), ie. 16 pax + 2 pax = 18 pax.
