Please help to solve.

Q 17 Wendy has 80 more stamps than Mary but 50 more stamps than Jean. Wendy gives 1/2 of her stamps to Mary. Then Mary gives 1/5 of her stamps to Jean. If Jean has 62 more stamps than Wendy, how many stamps does Mary have in the end?

J = 10u + 30
W = 10u + 80
M = 10u

After W give 1/2 to M

J = 10u + 30
W = 10u + 80 (-5u)(-40)
M = 10u (+5u)(+40)

J = 10u + 30
W = 5u + 40
M = 15u + 40

After M give 1/5 to J

J = 10u + 30 (+3u)(+8)
W = 5u + 40
M = 15u + 40 (-3u)(-8)

J = 13u + 38
W = 5u + 40
M = 12u + 32

J have 62 more than W

Make then equal

J = 13u + 38
W = 5u + 40 + 62

13u + 38 = 5u + 40 + 62
13u - 5u = 40 + 62 - 38
8u = 64
1u = 8

Therfore M = (12 * 8) + 32
= 128
