Thanks for helping with this question as well :-)

Mr Zaini has a carton containing some red and green apples. If he adds in 10 red apples, 0.6 of the number of apples in the carton will be green apples. If he adds in 30 green apples, 3/4 of the number of apples in the carton will be green apples. How many apples are there in the carton?

Hi echeewh,

Thank you for the solutions to the questions, they are really useful! I am trying to focus on solving by parts and units and the solution given previously was on simultaneous, could I trouble yourself (or anyone) to guide me through this problem by parts and units method? Thank you in advance!
