Can anyone help me with this question. Many thanks in advance.
(Edward: thanks for informing me that I did not post the question, then I realised that only jpeg file can be attached and not word document)

Question:
The square ABCD was cut into 6 parts using 5 straight lines. The length of the square is 15 cm.
Given that the ratio of AE : EG is 1 : 1, the ratio of BF : FG :GD is 2 : 1 : 3 and the ratio of BH : HC is 1 : 3.
Find the total area of the shaded part. (Ans:75cm2)

Hi Keenlearner,

I think there could be some typo errors with the question with regards to the following (suspected errors shown below in red):

BH : HC is 1 : 3 --> BH : HD

BF : FG :GD is 2 : 1 : 3 --> BH : FG : GC

Appreciate you can reconfirm this again . Thanks v much.

With these , pls find my worked solution as per attached.

Do let me know again if there 's any clarification.

Cheers,
Edward
