and a discount of $14 on a blouse whose usual price was $46.
Express the total discount she got as a percentage of the total usual price of the items.
2)
Catherine and Isaac shared the cost of a birthday present for their father.
Isaac paid $74. If he had paid $39 less,
the amount of money Catherine must pay will increase by 65%.
What was the cost of the present?
3)
If Mr Lam sold a refrigerator at 65% of the cost price,
the refrigerator will be sold at $715.
What price does he does he have to sell if he wants to meke a profit of $215?

Following pls find my worked solution:
Q1.
Discount (Skirt) = (20/100) × 50 = $10
Total discount = 10 + 14 = $24
Total % discount = (24 / 96) × 100 = 25%
Q2
Given that C's share increase by 65% after C had to pay $39 more, we have ...
65% > 39
100% > (39 / 65) × 100 = 60
So C's share in the present was $60
Cost of present = 60 + 74 = $134
Q3
65% > 715
100% > (715 / 65) × 100 = 1100 {cost price=CP}
To make a profit of $215, selling price would be ...
1100 + 215 = $ 1315
