2) Daniel, Ellie and Fatimah shared a box of cupcakes. Daniel took 1/4 of the box of cupcakes and 3 more cupcakes. Ellie took 2/3 of the remainder and 3 more cupcakes. Fatimah took the rest. If Fatimah took 4 cupcakes, how many cupcakes were there in the box at first?

4) Roslan, Shirleen and Lisa shared a tin of biscuits. Roslan took half the tin of biscuits and half a biscult. Shirleen took 1/2 of the remaining tin of
biscuits and half a biscult. Lisa took the rest. If Lisa received 10 biscuits, how many biscuits were there in the box at first?

This type of questions is easy when you work backwards.
(Q2)
First compare Fatimah and Ellie, who have 3u together.
1u - 3 = 4
1u = 7
So F and E tog -> 21.
Then compare Daniel with the others (altogether 4p).
3p - 3 = 21
3p = 24
1p = 8
4p = 32 (ans)

(Q4)
Similarly:
L + S have 2u.
S -> 1u + 1/2
L -> 1u - 1/2 = 10
1u = 10 1/2
S ->10 1/2 + 1/2 = 11
L + S = 10 + 11 = 21

Then, R + (L + S) = 2p
R = 1p + 1/2
L + S = 1p - 1/2 = 21
1p = 21 1/2
R = 21 1/2 + 1/2 = 22

R + L + S = 22 + 21 = 43 (ans)

Hope this helps!
