Qns: At 6.10 p.m., Mr Krishnan and his wife left their offices and drove along the same direction home. Mr Krishnan, whose office was further away from home, drove at an average speed of 60km/h. His wife drove at an average speed of 45km/h. The distance between Mr Krishnan's office and his wife's office was 25km. At what time did Mr Krishnan overtake his wife?

Hey there,

Following pls find my worked solution:

Time taken (to overtake/ catchup)
= 25 ÷ (60 - 45)
= 25 ÷ 15
= 1 2/3 hrs
= 1 hr 40 mins

Time overtake
= 18 10 + 1 hr 40 mins
= 19 50
= 7.50 pm

======

Trust this helps.

Do let me know again if there's further clarification.
