Hi,
Can anyone help me with this question?
James bought 3 similar books and 2 T-shirts for $156.
The 3 books cost as much as the 2 T-shirts.
Find the cost of each items.
The answer is $26. But I still couldnt figure out why it is $26.
Thank you very much!

Since the books and the T-shirts costs the same, then they cost $156/2 = $78 each (category of items)
And since they are 3 similar books, they will each costs $78/3 = $26
