Hey <vivilau1112>,

Following is my worked solution:

<If 10 D removed>

(D+M) : D
6 : 1

<Before>

(D+M): 6p + 10
D: 1p + 10

<If 30 M removed>

(D+M) : D
4 : 1

(D+M): 6p + 10 - 30 = 6p - 20 = 4u
D: 1p + 10 = 1u

Rearranging these 2 equations, we have ...

6p - 4u = 20 -- (1)
1u - 1p = 10 -- (2)

Eliminating (u), multiply (2) 4x.

4u - 4p = 40 -- (3)

(1)+(3):
6p - 4p = 20 + 40
2p = 60
1p --> 30

At first:
D = 1p + 10 --> 30 + 10 = 40

(D+M) = 6p + 10 --> (6 × 30) + 10
= 180 + 10 = 190

M = 190 - 40 = 150

M - D = 150 - 40 = 110

========

Trust this helps.

Do let me know again if this is different from your <Answerkey> or if there's further clarification.

Cheers,
Edward
