This is a repost of your question which you put under another viewer's existing question.

Your question:

there are 10 red pens,2 green pens and 4 black pens in a box. what percentage of the pens in the box is black?

Following is my worked solution:

% of Black pens = (Number of Black pens / Total pens) × 100
= (4 / 16) × 100
= 25%
