Hi,
I believe it depends on what you want to achieve. Noting that English is like any other languages, it will only improve over time. On the presumption that the teachers there are all from Britain, the pros of sending your boy to British Council will allow him to listen to proper pronounciation. However, like any other language school, I believe the lessons are planned in such a way that the teachers will teach syllabus by syllabus. This can be time consuming, because time is wasted on syllabuses which he already knows.

If you are looking at improving his Eng before PSLE, my view is that you should provide him with a one-to-one tutor to zoom into the problem areas and correct them promptly. This speed up the process. If British Council provides one-to-one, you may wish to consider that too. Thanks.

I hope the above helps.

Best Regards,
CanCan
